SoNoRo – Chamber Music at Its Finest, Supported by KUHN Romania
We believe in the power of culture to inspire, educate, and transform communities. That’s why we are honored to support Asociația SoNoRo, an initiative that redefines chamber music in Romania, promoting artistic excellence through festivals, concerts, and educational programs.

SoNoRo Festival – A Tradition of Elegance and Innovation
Founded in 2006, SoNoRo Festival has become one of Romania’s most prestigious cultural events, bringing together international artists and a passionate audience. Each year, the festival presents unique themes, creating connections between music, visual arts, literature, and architecture.
SoNoRo events take place in iconic venues that enhance the artistic experience, including:
- Romanian Athenaeum – a symbol of Romanian culture and home to some of SoNoRo’s most impressive concerts;
- Cotroceni Palace – a historic venue offering a refined setting for chamber music;
- Peleș Castle – a fairytale-like location where classical harmonies take on a special dimension;
- Casa NUMAÀ, Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, National History Museum of Transylvania – just a few of the venues where SoNoRo has created unforgettable musical experiences.
SoNoRo Association Projects – More Than a Festival
Beyond the main festival, Asociația SoNoRo carries out a series of projects that bring classical music closer to the public:
- SoNoRo Conac – a project that revitalizes heritage buildings by transforming mansions and castles into concert halls.
- SoNoRo Musikland – a festival celebrating Transylvanian musical traditions in cities like Brașov, Sighișoara, and Viscri.
- SoNoRo Interferences – an educational program for young musicians, offering mentorship, scholarships, and the opportunity to study with renowned artists.
A Connection Between Music, Heritage, and Community
SoNoRo’s projects blend tradition with innovation, linking chamber music with art, architecture, and education. Through these initiatives, SoNoRo creates a dialogue between the past and the future, contributing to the development of Romania’s cultural scene and nurturing a new generation of musicians.
We are proud to support this movement and to be part of an initiative that promotes the beauty of art and the importance of cultural education. Through such partnerships, we help build a future where music and culture remain at the heart of our communities.
